Georgetown U, new coaching staff has their first win of the season, beating St Francis 4-1. Freshman, Micaela O’toole(St Stephens & St Agnes HS/VA and Capitol Pegasus Club), and  Senior, Maggie Farrand(Bryn Mawr HS/MD and Capitol Pegasus Club), had 1 goal each.

Catholic University is ranked 2nd in the new Landmark Conference.  The Cardinals won their season opener 5-0 against Randolph Macon.

#17 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays  are 2-0 including an upset of #4 Cortland.

Johns Hopkins’ Emily Miller (Garden City, NY/Garden City) was named the Division III Player of the Week by womensfieldhockey.com this week. The forward scored three goals in two games at the Black-Eyed Susan Tournament

Katie O’Donnell, freshman phenom for #1 UMD Terps, has 7 goals in 4 games. Katie is on the USA Senior National Women team.

Kate Falgowski, freshman phenom for #3 UNC Tarheels, has started all 4 games and the Tarheels are off to a 4-0 start. Kate is on the USA Senior National Women team. Kate played for St Marks HS/DE and PH Strikers Club.

Liz Fries, Junior at  #2 Wake Forrest, has stepped into the starting lineup. Unfortunately, Wake is 1-2 losing on Friday, in overtime,  to UNC 2-1. Liz attended South Carroll HS/MD, and played for Washington Wolves Club and SParks Club.

Michelle Drummonds, freshman at U Delaware, has stepped into the starting lineup from Day 1 and the Blue Hens are off to a 4-0 start. Michelle attended Elkton HS/MD and played for PH Strikers Club. She is on the USA U21 team.

Rachel Schnexnayder,  Sophomore at U Delaware, has started having an impact on the field. Rachel played for Blake HS/MD and MYFHA Spitfire Club.

AU’s Denise Infante,  was named Geico Student Athlete of the week. Denise scored the winning goal against Princeton with 15 seconds to go!

Towson U Tigers,  are playing all their home games at Villa Julia University astro turf field. The field is part of the Baltimore Ravens old practice facility in Owings Mills, MD.

South River HS Tournament  is this Saturday at South River. There will be a rematch of 4A finalists Quince Orchard and South River. QO won the 2006 4A title.

BCC defeated Severna Park HS in a rematch of the 3A State Finalists, at the Pocomoke tournament. This is a reversal of the finals which Severna Park won.

NCAA Clearinghouse  is a must for Fall seniors. Everyone must register with the Clearinghouse in order to be recruited. https://www.ncaaclearinghouse.net/NCAA/common/index.html

ATTENTION: All prospective student-athletes intending to enroll in an NCAA Division I or II institution for the first time on or after August 1, 2007 must complete the NCAA Amateurism Certification questionnaire.
( If you enrolled full time in a Division I or II institution prior to the Fall of 2007, you do not need to complete the amateurism questions.)

Attention 2007 high school graduates! The NCAA has adopted new legislation that will require prospects who intend to enroll at NCAA Division I and Division II institutions to supply ACT or SAT scores to the Clearinghouse directly from the testing agencies. Test scores on an official high school transcript will no longer be usable for NCAA purposes. Read more on this under "News and Views" behind the "General Information" heading of this website

Langley HS/VA defeated Westfield HS/VA in the finals of the Westfield Invitational. Langley is led by 2006 Northern Virginia Player of the Year and candidate for 2007 Washington Post Player of the Year, Senior, Faith Adams.
