MavSports winter clinics and leagues start this weekend. Information will be posted on our website for teams and schedules, by Thursday evening.
NCAA D1 Final 4 will be played on Friday and Sunday at UMD Stadium.
Friday at 5pm is a match up between UConn and UNC. UNC, ACC regular season and tournament Champs has Katelyn Falgowski and Rachel Dawson from the US National team. UCONN, Big East regular season and Tournament champs has Lizzy Peijs as their top player. Lizzy spent the summer in the Columbia area and coached at the Capitol Pegasus mini camp. Look for UConn to spring an upset.
Friday at 7:30 pm is a match up with upset bent Penn State, who dethroned 2 time defending champs, UMD Terps, and Wake Forrest, the former 3 time champs, who refuse to take a back seat. Wake Forrest has local product, Chrystal Duffield , from West Potomac HS/VA, in goal. Natalie Blasco has the Nittany Lions 11-1 whenever she has a goal or assist in that game. Wake should sneak by Penn State.
Finals is on Sunday at High Noon!!!!!!!!!! Wake Vs UConn with UConn being the first National Champion from the Big East in a long time.
Michelle Lane verbally committed to play for UMD. Michelle was born in the Annapolis area. Her parents are Terps alums. Michelle plays for Colonial Forge HS/VA and Capitol Pegasus Club.
Natalie Ellenberger verbally committed to play for AU. Natalie plays for Quince Orchard HS/MD and Jackals Club.
